Kuala Gandah Elephant Santuary
For over 30 years, the Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Center has worked to translocate elephants disrupting villages or plantations. Initially focused on relocation, the center now also promotes public awareness of elephant conservation. Currently, it cares for around 11 elephants, including three young ones under three years old. One was found alone by a farmer at just six months old.
The center is open daily from 9:00 am – 4:45 pm (closed on major public holidays). Note that elephant rides and bathing activities may be limited.
